Selena Gomez has something to be thankful for this holiday season – she’s going to be a big sister.

The singer, 19, posted the baby news along with a photo of her mother, Mandy Dawn Cornett, and her stepfather, Brian Teefey, on her Instagram account on Friday.

“Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news,” she wrote in the post. “My mommys carrying my baby brother or sister I’m the happiest girl in the world!”

This will be the first child for Cornett and Teefey, who married in 2006.

Selena Gomez has teamed up with Shazam to present fans with the ultimate giveaway in which the grand prize winner will get to meet the pop star and see her on her summer headlining tour.

Selena Gomez recently announced that her next album will be released on Tuesday, June 28. Now, we have another nugget of news about the Disney darling’s new album… and it’s good.

It turns out Britney Spears — yes, Britney Spears, y’all — wrote three songs that’ll be on Gomez’s new album. Three cheers for awesome pop collaborations! According to BreatheHeavy.com, one of the tracks is “Whiplash,” a song that didn’t make it onto Spears’ recent album “Femme Fatale.”

Britney’s producers Dr. Luke and Kevin Rudolph confirmed the news to Billboard Brazil, with Rudolph saying, “The lyrics are like a drug, so catchy! They’re easy, fast and really sexy!”

While her boyfriend Justin Bieber is traveling across the globe, Selena Gomez will visit big cities across North American for a tour to support her upcoming second studio album. The Disney songstress is going to kick off the gig this summer on July 28 at Mizner Park Amphitheatre in Boca Raton, FL, and wrap it up on September 12 at Western Washington Fair in Puyallup, WA.

“[I] cannot explain how excited I am to finally be putting on a full tour for all of you. I cannot wait to see you out on the road!” Selena shared her excitement to her Twitter followers shortly after the dates were announced. She has tapped the boys from Allstar Weekend as her supporting act throughout the tour.

Selena previously told Ryan Seacrest that she plans a Britney Spears tribute. Explaining her love for the “Hold It Against Me” hitmaker, she said Britney’s show was the first concert she ever went to. She recalled, “I got the T-shirt and glow stick. and I just remember it being the highlight of my life! I felt like I was on cloud nine!”

In a more recent interview with MTV, Selena teased more about what she has in stores for this upcoming tour. “Were gonna do a little tribute. We’re gonna do her hits, ‘ … Baby One More Time,’ and then I think we’re going to try to incorporate ‘Toxic’ and that phase,” she gushed. “And then we might do some of her recent, new stuff.”

This summer, Selena Gomez will release her new album, which will feature the lead single “Who Says.” And, in the short time since she released her previous album, A Year Without Rain, in September, she’s managed to live a bit of life. When MTV News caught up with her, Gomez said those experiences will end up on the record.

“The third record is really fun, and there’s a song called ‘Hit the Lights’ that I love, and it’s basically about every missed opportunity that you’ve had,” she said. “But it’s also a dance track. There’s a lot more depth [on this album].”

Gomez took on a bigger role this time around as a writer. “I am writing, very excited,” she said, teasing that her life experiences will serve as inspiration for the lyrics.

“There’s one song that I co-wrote with Toby Gad: It’s kind of like a compliment song slash dig,” she explained. “It’s really fun. It’s basically saying, ‘I had a few people who weren’t treating me right, but now I have wonderful people.’ So it’s like I’m thanking my friends while saying goodbye to the other people. It’s very therapeutic.”

In addition to working with the “If I Were a Boy” hitmaker, Gomez also worked with a British pop starlet. “There is one [song] that I’m completely in love with, and it was written by Pixie Lott, who I am obsessed with,” she said. “And it’s my mom’s favorite song. It’s very sweet. It’s kind of a ballad, but not really. It’s basically about living in the moment; it’s about enjoying right now. I’m very much enjoying right now. I’m in a good place.”

Disney star and singer Selena Gomez has been booked for the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles this summer.

Gomez is know for portraying Alex Russo in the television series “Wizards of Waverly Place.” She is also the lead singer and founder of the pop band Selena Gomez and the Scene.

The band Big Time Rush will open for Gomez. They recently finished their first season of a show on Nickelodeon. The band is releasing their debut album.

Gomez and Big Time Rush willl take the Main Grandstand on July 25 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets go on sale March 25.

Gomez revealed to Ryan Seacrest that her show will include a tribute to Britney Spears, states OMG, Music!.

“I’m going to do different covers and I just want it to be really fun… We’re going to do a Britney tribute – a mash-up – so I’m very excited!” Gomez revealed about what fans can expect while she is on tour.

Gomez then revealed that her first concert was watching Spears perform, and ‘Baby One More Time’ was the first record she ever bought.

Selena Gomez will be performing at the new Microsoft Store at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California on March 26, 2011 from 2-3pm. The Grand Opening Ceremonies for the new store will take place on March 24, 2011 at 9:30am, be sure to show up at the ceremony to receive complimentary tickets to Selena’s performance and a free gift bag!

The first 150 people in line will receive two premiere viewing tickets to the performance and get an opportunity to meet Selena at the event and receive an autograph after the show.
